Organ Manufacturing
There are over one hundred thousand people on the organ transplant list. We plan to change that.
1983
Pioneers such as Chuck Hull started the 3D printing revolution by combining computer software with unique resin chemistries.
Today at our labs in Manchester, San Diego and San Francisco, we are continuing this revolution by building organs with natural proteins at a resolution 3 orders of magnitude beyond state of the art.
2020’s
Our mission is to manufacture an unlimited supply of transplantable organs before the end of the decade.

Lung Bioengineering
CLES/EVLP Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion (EVLP)
Lung Bioengineering is conducting a clinical trial dedicated to ex vivo lung perfusion as part of our commitment to expanding the supply of available lungs.
Centralized Lung Evaluation System (CLES) is intended to increase use of deceased donor lungs for transplant by enabling organ evaluation by normothermic perfusion and ventilation in a controlled environment outside the body (ex vivo). The device is intended for use with potential donor lungs not otherwise used for transplant into patients aged 18 years or older with end-stage lung disease awaiting first-time (double or single) lung transplant.
